We believe that every young person can engage with education if it is approached in the right way.

Some young people do not yet have a school place, some young people have physical or medical needs which prevent them from attending school, and for some young people, the classroom is not always a place where they can learn.

Their needs and anxieties may lead to behaviours that disturb their own learning and the learning of others. For some, their impact on the school has eventually meant that they are permanently excluded and others are on the cusp of exclusion. For these young people, tuition may be a solution.

One to One Tuition

When it comes to one-to-one tuition, we have the skills and experience to match the best-suited tutor to the young person. Some young people follow academic courses leading to SATs, entry level or foundation qualifications, or GCSEs. Others, especially those working well below age-expected levels, may engage better with a project-based approach, following an interest and building skills in literacy, maths and science.

We compile a risk assessment for every young person, acknowledging the risks of not learning, and co-produce an Individual Plan that is reviewed at least termly. We also write reports for annual reviews and attend when requested. All our tutors complete a weekly report so that you can track the pupil’s progress in terms of both academic achievement and wellbeing.
