ASEND is looking for HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs) for interesting and varied work. We know that not all SaLTs are the same, or want to work in the same way. Our assignments are flexible in terms of time commitment and level of involvement, so you can work in the way that suits you best. At ASEND you will always be well supported by our specialist and experienced SEND team and well remunerated.

What we’re looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist

Essential:

• HCPC registration: You must hold current HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Experience with children: Experience providing speech and language therapy to children and young people, ideally with SEND
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding processes and a commitment to promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people at all times
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can help you obtain this) and 2 professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship

Desirable:

• Experience working in schools or educational settings
• Experience with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) in children with SEND
• Experience writing reports for EHCPs, first-tier tribunals, and appeals
• Familiarity with a range of SEND needs including autism (ASD/ASC), selective mutism, developmental language disorder, and PMLD
• RCSLT membership
