ASEND is looking for HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists for interesting and varied work. We know that not all Occupational Therapists are the same, or want to work in the same way. What we’re looking for in an Occupational Therapist

Essential:

  • HCPC registration: You must hold current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience with children: Experience providing occupational therapy to children and young people, ideally with SEND
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding processes and a commitment to promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people at all times
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can help you obtain this) and 2 professional references
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship

Desirable:

  • Experience working in schools or educational settings
  • Experience with sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, and self-regulation in children with SEND
  • Experience writing reports for EHCPs, first-tier tribunals, and appeals
  • Familiarity with a range of SEND needs including autism (ASD/ASC), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, MLD, SLD, and PMLD

Employment type

This is a self-employed role, giving you the freedom to choose your hours and manage your own schedule, backed by the full support of our team.
