We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Music Therapist to work with a 13-year-old at her home in Reading, for a one hour session, 5 days a week (therapy will need to be during school hours). This young person is awaiting an Autism assessment. She enjoys cartoons and colouring, as well as this, she has also demonstrated an interest in instruments. This young person is relatively new to English and is developing her use and understanding of it slowly. She finds it difficult to use and understand age-expected vocabulary but can memorise songs she likes in English and Turkish.
The right candidate will have experience working with pupils that have additional needs such as autism. Registration with HCPC is also essential.
