We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Music Therapist to work with a 9-year-old at his home in Reading for one hour a week (therapy will need to be during school hours). This young person has been diagnosed with Autism. He likes running, climbing, and other movement-based play, as well as a wide range of sensory activities such as water play, and using chews. He also enjoys playing football, sharing books, and exploring his interests in cars and music. At home, this young person communicates his needs using single words, gestures, and actions, and he can follow simple one-step instructions.
The right candidate will have experience working with pupils that have additional needs such as autism. Registration with HCPC is also essential.
