Educational Psychologists — Portsmouth

ASEND Job Opportunity

ASEND are looking for an Educational Psychologist to support a 14-year-old at his home in Portsmouth. He is autistic and has PDA as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The Educational Psychologist will provide an indirect consultative role to advise on this young person’s curriculum and educational needs in collaboration with other professionals. This young person will have support from a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team including a SLT and OT as well as the Educational Psychologist. They will draw up a combined programme which gives teaching staff and home strategies to support him effectively.

Requirements

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• HCPC registration and Psychology degree.
• Experience supporting children with SEN, such as Autism and PDA (essential).
• Must be experienced working with an EOTIS/C MDT.
